Camila holds a MS from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a third year student in the Counseling Psychology Doctoral program at VCU in La Esperanza Research Program.Their research and clinical interests include mindfulness, compassion, and contemplative practices in addressing trauma and transgenerational trauma among marginalized and minioritized individuals. Additionally, Camila uses strength-based approaches to investigate culture, the impact of maladaptive coping, substance use, and overall health outcomes in communities.
