I earned my bachelor's degree in physics from the University of Southern California in 2010, and worked as a research associate in psychology at Carnegie Mellon University from 2014-2016. I joined VCU's clinical psychology program in 2017. My research interests include neurophenomenology of mindfulness and related contemplative practices using first-person and neuroimaging methods to understand how a sustained receptive attention to occurrences within oneself and in one’s external environment affect emotion and behavioral regulation. I'm also interested in the clinical application of mindfulness training to underserved populations.
