Integrated Primary Care Training Collaborative

For June's edition of Meet-A-Trainee, we recognize Janae Baker's work and dedication to the Integrated Primary Care Training Program. Here is Janae's testimony: 

“During the spring semester I had the pleasure of working at the Hayes E. Willis Health Center and the Motivate Clinic. Populations served included adolescents, older adults, adults, and pre/post-partum mothers. This training experience was unique as I was able to work with patients who had co-morbid mental health conditions in both settings. The Motivate Clinic also houses an OBGYN team I was able to work with, serving the unique intersectionality of mother’s with Substance Use Disorder. This opportunity bolstered my ability to work with an interdisciplinary team and made me feel more connected with the Richmond community. Additionally, I received the opportunity to serve as Student Clinical Coordinator for our grant. I have built on my administrative and communication skills, connected with other students on the grant, and learned a lot about the behind-the-scenes required to make sure everyone involved with the grant excels.”
