Over the past decade, the Integrated Primary Care Training Collaborative has secured sustained federal, foundation, and internal institutional support to advance interdisciplinary behavioral health training and integrated care services. Funding has supported the preparation of graduate students and trainees in integrated behavioral health, the expansion of workforce development initiatives, and the delivery of accessible, community-based services for children, families, adults, and older adults. These investments have enabled the program to strengthen partnerships across healthcare and community settings, enhance training opportunities in evidence-based and trauma-informed care, and contribute to the development of a skilled behavioral health workforce equipped to meet the needs of diverse populations.

Major external funders include the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Virginia Health Care Foundation, and the Richmond Memorial Health Foundation. These funding partnerships have provided critical support for the program's training, service, and workforce development efforts, helping to expand access to integrated behavioral health care across Virginia’s communities.
