I graduated from The Ohio State University in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in psychology and received a master’s degree in general psychology from DePaul University in 2016. While pursuing my master's degree, I received additional research training at the Institution for Juvenile Research in Chicago, Ill. I entered the clinical psychology doctoral program at VCU in the fall of 2016. Broadly, my research interests include examining the effects of religion and spiritual engagement on internalizing and externalizing problems among low-income African American youth. Clinically, I am interested in providing mental health services for low-income African American families and children.
