My main research interests revolve around service members, veterans and families. I am interested in military issues, such as traumatic injury, resilience, stigma and barriers to care. As an extension of my research on injuries, I have developed an interest in caregiving, particularly by family members. I am also interested in the reciprocal relationships between family dynamics, relationships, and health behaviors and outcomes. I hope to contribute to research that may improve the effectiveness, access and utilization of interventions available to service members, veterans and their families and deconstruct barriers to treatment, as well as use the research to inform my clinical work.
